My name is Murray Harman and I am the Owner/Director of M.R.Harman Limited. Builders.

I served my time with a group housing company, BMA Construction that later became Prestige Homes Ltd., I completed this in  April 1978.( According to my Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship )
Once out of my time I worked as a labour only contractor. I spent approximately 6.5 years on light commercial work learning the techniques used in this section of the industry. Following this I worked as a sole trader for 3.5 years and in 1988 I registered my company,  M.R.Harman Ltd. Builders.

In December 2008 we celebrated 20 years of business for this company.

M.R.Harman Ltd. Builders core business is additions , alterations, renovations and the occasional new home. The work we do is mainly in the domestic market. This type of renovation and alteration work took on a new direction with the advent of leaky buildings and as a natural transition we have become involved in the repairs and reconstruction of leaky homes and recladding.

M.R.Harman Ltd. can organize the designing or work from the clients plans and will do everything through to landscaping. We will work on a full contract, labour only or hourly rate, whatever the client prefers we endeavor to make happen.

Our staff fluctuates between five and six carpenters with myself doing the project management etc. Combined we have many years of experience in many facets of the building industry. This gives us and my clients a wealth of knowledge to call upon during the projects we are involved in.

I am a registered personal member and M.R.Harman Ltd. is a registered business member of Certified Builders Association of New Zealand ( CBANZ ).

I designed the company logo to not only be our logo, but also a statement of the company’s work ethics. As per below it depicts a hand holding a house with the inscription “Built by the Hand of Tradesmen “ which I always endeavor  to enforce.
